For the next three weeks Butterfly Conservation are doing a national big butterfly count. Its very easy to do, you just count what butterflies you see in 15mins then enter your results on their website...

I got a good selection with some that were not on their list.
While I was there I found the brown dragonflies again, but was not able to photograph them as they never settle. I pretty sure they are Brown Hawkers as everything, size, colour, flight, location etc. fits the bill. Over the scrape I had another new (for me) dragonfly. Again it was difficult to photograph but I did get some poor shots that make me fairly certain it was an Emperor Dragonfly.
