Small Skippers

I spent an hour this afternoon mainly looking for butterflies. There were good numbers of Small Skippers, perhaps 25. Also about 10 Large Skippers, 1 Ringlet, 3 Small Tortoiseshell, about 15 Meadow Brown, and 2 Large Whites. Over the scrape there was a female Broad-bodied Chaser dragonfly and also a couple of unidentified hawker type dragonflies. At least 40 Narrow-bordered Five Spot Burnet Moths, at least that's what I think they are!
Birds are generally a bit quiet at this time of year but there was still Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Dunnock, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Blackbird, Goldfinch and a new bird on the Meadows for me at least, a Garden Warbler.
