First Summer Migrant

This morning I heard the unmistakable song of a Chiffchaff on the Meadows. It will have arrived from Africa during the last few days, and is hopefully the first of many summer migrant birds arriving on the Meadows in the next couple of months. The trees and bushes are really beginning to green up and many plants are in flower.
