Loads of birds now in song on the Meadows and the early Chiffchaffs have now been joined by Blackcaps, with one singing at the south end. Lots of Blackcaps now spend the winter in Britain but it is more likely that this one has recently returned form Africa. Blue tits, Great tits, Coal tits, Song Thrushes, Blackbirds and Nuthatch were also in evidence. All the trees and hedgerows are greening up and many plants are flowering or in bud.
