Confusing damselfly

I had a walk around on Wednesday afternoon, there were 4 Jays in the oak tree and a Sparrowhawk circling overhead. On the scrape were a couple of Common Darter dragonflies and a Black Darter. I noticed a very dull looking damselfly which I did not recognise. I looked through all my books but still could not be sure. The British Dragonfly Society came to the rescue when I emailed them a photo. It was a female Emerald damselfly which had changed to a bronze colour with age, had me fooled!!
