We have had some beautiful days recently and the birds of the meadows are all into full breeding mode. The Nuthatch was singing so loudly yesterday I could here him well before I got to the meadows. Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps were also in full song,
It was interesting to see that along side the part of the central hedge that was layered two years ago there are lots of celandines growing. They must have been there all the time but the increased light has caused them to grow much more vigorously.
There were a few butterflies around, notably Orange Tip and Brimstone. Unfortunately they were both a bit camera shy and would not settle for a picture.
