Quiet Time

The early summer weather of late April didn't last of course and May has felt much more like March. The birds have all been breeding and the meadows still has lots of birdsong from the breeding birds holding their territory. Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Nuthatch , Blue Tit and Great Tit were all in song last evening. Insects such as Butterflies and Dragonflies are having a very poor spring, its far too cold wet and windy. Lets hope thing buck up soon.
There are lots of wild flowers beginning to show, I only wish I knew what they are!
