After three wet days the pond now has some water, but not as much as I had hoped for. I only managed to find one damselfly, an Emerald. Butterflies were doing better with good numbers of Meadow Browns and Small Skippers and also a few Small Tortoiseshells, Ringlet, Gatekeeper and a Large Skipper.
Its now a very quiet time for birds as most have finished breeding and will be beginning to moult, so very few were seen today.
I did see a few very small frogs, so they must have managed to change from tadpoles and leave the pond before it dried out.
